the japanese language frustrates me...

why in hell would you create a whole set of characters JUST for "foreign" words when those characters sound the same as the set of characters for "japanese" words??? just use the same fucking characters!

Long weekend

Been away from my hometown of Hanamaki for about 5 days...best long weekend. I had to finish up using my summer vacation time before september ends and decided to use them this weekend.

all in all, this weekend was a blast. got a taste of what is in the southern part of my prefecture. tons of mountains and just a lot of green. got to visit some of the beehives (homes of other Jets). went inside a real cave. went to a gorge. finally watched "10 things I hate about you." ate some homemade burrito/fajita/taco/whatever you want to call our creations. had sour cream with it droooool. went to a wine festival in Ohasama. got buzzed. got grapes. had a japanese baby girl reach her hands out to me so i can hold her/carry her. loved her. got free wine tastings from mini barrells. ate some bomb chicken wings. got a load of baby cans of beer from the liquor store for FREE. found my passion - Passoa liquer, with the label saying it's the passion drink. Bought Lychee Muscat wine. went "clubbin" in Kitakami. drove on the right side of a car for the first and 2nd time. shopped. shopped. shopped. drove back and forth from a train station and a friend's home because my partner in crime forgot her purse due to her forgetfulness in brushing her teeth in the morning. that took about 1.5 hours. HA. drove behind some crazy slow drivers and even slower mopeds on the road. ate a buttload of food in Sendai, including so far the best sashimi i've had here...and got a nice little Japanese lesson at a bar with two Japanese girls and the bartender. I would have had my first mojito in Japan, but they ran out of mint =( they made a rather decent tasting Tom Collins for me instead. superb. and learned how to say "fuck off" in japanese, in case a japanese guy tries to get all up in my grill. but knowing me, i will probably end up saying something completely opposite...my memory sucks!

and now, it's thursday already and time for yet another exciting weekend! this is great. just great. this makes me love Japan. but we'll see when it starts snowing...

still waiting on my internet to be fixed at home, so please be patient. pix will be up this year HA. i hope.

i lied. stove not broke. phew. i made kimchee fried rice last nite weeeeeee.

so eric, found a class with some cute girls. had my first class with them today, so maybe next class i will force them to take pictures with me sir. hold your nuts.

there's a guy in that class who's too concerned with his hair and he's considered the 'bad' student in the class. but i plan on picking on him because I can and I want to. HEHE.

it's a stone man!!!! i thought it was the coolest thing someone can put in the middle of grass. the only thing i could make of the sign was that it was created by a korean man. it's so clever.

Here are some festi pictures...just a few during the daytime as i was strolling around town.

so these guys carry the mikoshi (shrine) around town to different businesses pretty much all day. Hugh-sensei, an ALT if you don't remember from the photos i've put up, was um, lucky? to get to be a part of this on Friday and Saturday from 1p-7p...pix of him to come as soon as i get my internet sorted out at home. They all shout out, Washoi!!! it's pretty darn neat and at night, some of these guys bare nekkid bottoms...-o-

moshi moshi. another day of no classes here at school. this should be the last day of testing, so i may be more active tomorrow. though, just now, a teacher came to me to correct some translations. alrite, a few photos because eric is whiney.

girls before mashing it up for a week in Morioka.

a proper photo of the ladies at the entrance to a shrine after 4 days of sitting in a room listening to seminar after seminar and after accumulating over 5 days worth of hangovers...we still managed to look awake and lively.

during Quiz night, we stumbled upon this random Japanese girl who we used during the quiz. we still lost. she had mad loads of tattoos...

all the girls again, at our favorite joint in Morioka. Nomihodai for 950 yen for 2 hours, what a deal. AND they had an awesome wait staff who kept loading us up with booze. Did i mention they had bomb ass food as well? We didn't know what we ordered, but when it came out, we scarfed it down like wolves. mm mmm bitch. (notice the wine. and the beer. and the kahlua drink. and then there was tequila somewhere. death)

and to show you the ho's at Kenji World. HA. that's how sexy my ladies are.
